Privacy Policy

Overview

LINKY helps you improve your LinkedIn profile. We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service and never sell or share it for advertising. When you ask us to email your full report, we also collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it).

What we collect

• Files you upload (LinkedIn profile PDF or image, optional CV, optional photos): processed in real time to generate your analysis, then immediately discarded.
• Questionnaire answers (short text fields about your goals): used in real time to generate your analysis, then discarded — not stored.
• Email address: collected when you ask us to email your full report, so we can send it to you and so each email can claim one free report.
• Name (optional): if you provide a first or last name, we include it on your report.
• Marketing preference: whether you chose to receive occasional tips.
• IP address: used solely to enforce a daily usage limit and prevent abuse.

What we don't collect

• The PDF, image, or CV files you upload — they are not stored.
• Your questionnaire answers — used to generate the analysis, not stored.
• The personalized analysis we generate — it is delivered to you, not retained on our servers.
• Your phone number, password, or any login/account — LINKY has no accounts.
• Tracking cookies or advertising identifiers.

How we use your data

• To provide the service: analyze your profile, return your action plan, and prevent abuse via rate limits.
• To deliver your report: we use your email address to send you the full audit PDF you requested.
• Marketing (only if you opt in): we may occasionally email you LinkedIn tips. This is separate from your report and entirely optional — you can withdraw at any time (see Your rights).
• To improve LINKY: we may use aggregate, anonymized statistics — such as average scores by industry, common improvement areas, and overall usage patterns — to refine our analysis and develop new features. Aggregate statistics cannot identify individual users.
• We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train external AI models.

Third parties

To operate the service, we rely on a small number of service providers:

• An AI processing service generates the analysis from your profile.
• A cloud database service stores rate-limit counters and your report-request record within the European Union.
• An email delivery service sends your report (and any tips you opted into) to your inbox.
• A hosting provider serves the website and may retain standard server logs.

These providers process data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements. The list of specific providers is available on request.

Data retention

• Uploaded files and generated analysis: not retained.
• Questionnaire answers: not stored.
• Your report-request record (email, name if provided, marketing preference, and the date you requested it): kept until you ask us to delete it — so we can honor the one-free-report-per-email limit and, if you opted in, send you tips.
• Rate-limit data (an IP address and a count): deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Your rights

You can request, at any time:

• Confirmation of whether we hold any data about you.
• A copy of any data we hold.
• Deletion of any data we hold about you, including your report-request record.
• To withdraw marketing consent — email us and we'll stop sending tips.

Children

LINKY is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated on this page.
